Our Fees and Charges

BW Solicitors operates primarily on a fixed-fee basis. All fees are agreed in writing before work commences. No hourly billing or surprise invoices applies to standard matters where a fixed fee has been agreed. BW Solicitors is VAT registered. VAT at 20% applies to most services where the place of supply is the United Kingdom. VAT does not apply to entry-clearance applications where the client is applying from outside the United Kingdom. Home Office fees, court fees and other disbursements are payable separately and are not included in the professional fees below.

  1. All fees quoted are fixed and agreed in writing before work commences. The client will know the cost before work begins.
  2. VAT at 20% applies to most services where the place of supply is the United Kingdom. VAT does not apply to qualifying entry-clearance applications made from outside the United Kingdom.
  3. If a matter is unusually complex, or circumstances materially change, BW Solicitors will notify the client in writing and agree a revised fee before continuing.
  4. Hourly rates apply only where a fixed fee has not been agreed.
  5. Telephone calls and emails are included within an agreed fixed fee and are not billed separately, unless the matter is conducted on an hourly-rate basis.
  6. This fee schedule may be reviewed and updated from time to time.
